DANCE RECITAL

Here is my princess, dressed just like a princess.  She was so excited to have her end of year recital.  She wasn't able to start class until half way through the semester, but she was still fantastic.

Picture Perfect.

DADE'S SCHOOL YEAR - IN 7 WEEKS

As I mentioned in the previous post, Dade started Kindergarten in April and was able to go to about 7 weeks of school.  During that time he had a lot of different activities so...I decided to bunch them altogether.
This was the Hoe Down.  The kids loved it.

Aislyn and Grayer both rode the horses, but Dade was too busy running around with his friends.

WAGS the dog came for a weekend visit.

Normally all these events wouldn't happen in such a short time, but that's what happens when you only have 7 weeks of Kindergarten.

*Side note*
By the end of the weekend all three kids were dying to hold WAGS.

He even made an appearance at the Father Son Breakfast.

Man he is one handsome little guy...I'm talking about Dade.

See what I mean...everyone wanted in on WAGS time.

End of Year Party.

I think it probably would have been more fun for me to actually go to Hawaii, but that wasn't an option.

Last Day of School.

Mrs. Burson was great!!!  She really helped Dade fit right in and I know it helped make the transition to 1st Grade so much easier.
Thanks again.

AND SO IT BEGINS

On the 11th of April we officially entered the world of public school.  Dade loved his first day of Kindergarten and has never looked back, although I do over hear a few little comments about some of the units we covered while Homeschooling.

The funny things about this picture is that Dade is wearing this shirt today (now to the 1st Grade) and when he walked into the room I thought "this might have to be the last time he wears that shirt...it's getting a bit small".  That's how fast time flies.

He is officially a Wild Cat!!!

Little brother and sister have missed having him around and I still listen for his little voice.
We are so proud of you!!!

SCARBOROUGH ONCE AGAIN

Yep, that's me up on top of a camel.  It was really fun and REALLY far off the ground.

This is one of those activities that Dain and I can't wait for each year.  The kids have a blast running from booth to booth, ride to ride and we just love every minute.

Aislyn was busy marching to the parade, while Dade kept his eye on line to the ride.

This photo doesn't even need a caption...

I'm still freaked out that they let Grayer on this ride.  He of course LOVED it and did fabulous.  "Silly Mom"

He is starting to look like a big kid and I'm not to happy about it.  I still think he should look like...

this.
Why does time move so fast?

HAPPY EASTER

We had beautiful weather for Easter this year.  The cousins got together for an Easter Egg Hunt at Oma and Opa's.  Every time I look at pictures of the cousins together I just can't help but be thankful for all the built in friends they get to have.

Grayer really got the hang of it this year.  He was stealing eggs all over the place.

Aislyn was the helper...trying to help everyone else find their eggs.

Not the best picture of Dade, but I feel guilty if I leave him out.

A couple of days later we had our 3rd Annual Easter Feast.  I have to admit that at least half the reason I do this is to get this cute picture.

On to Easter Baskets.  It's always fun to watch the kids run around trying to find their baskets and with Church starting at 9:00 we decided to do Easter Baskets later that night.  It was a blast.

Dade found his first and had to climb on the landing to get to it.

I always hide one under the entry table.  Grayer got the honor this year.

Pink and Purple.  Still her favorite.

DISNEY ON ICE

Perk #4884
Dain has the most amazing job in the world...at least that's how I feel about it.  Disney On Ice has become one of my favorites and this year was no different, except we invited a few friends to come along.

This handsome devil was such a good boy.  It really helps to go places you don't have to be quiet.

My one sad thought is...Dade is getting too big.  He likes Transformers, Ninjas, G.I. Joe, so he was a little less enthusiastic than previous years.
*Side note*
The first time we went to Disney On Ice he was about 3 and was deathly afraid of the Crocodile in Peter Pan.  So much so that he refused to watch Peter Pan.  It even spilled over into church.  His Primary teacher pulled me aside a few weeks before and told me that Dade had gotten very upset in class when they had discussed Jonah being swallowed by a whale (I'm laughing right now).  So, of course had we know that Peter Pan would be a part of that years Disney On Ice show we might have changed our minds on going.  Anyway, when the 100 foot crocodile came out Dade literally ran screaming for the back door.  That kids!

I also have to say that part of the reason these kids are always so great is due to the box seats.

Don't be surprised if you see this picture as our Christmas card this year.  I LOVE IT!

Thanks to friends for making the night even more fun.
