HALLOWEEN TRADITIONS

Crazy Cat!
Aislyn was all dressed up for her preschool costume parade.

That night we carved pumpkins.

Each of the kids picked their own pumpkins and what they wanted to carve.

This is the first year Mom and Dad (okay, mostly Dad) didn't have to finish carving after the kids went to bed.

This picture is really of Gray.  He helped me glitter a pumpkin, because he didn't want to get his hands dirty. Consequently, we finished in about two seconds and had to wait for the big kids to finish.

So glad they finished, because look at how cute these pumpkins are!

All lit up for Halloween.

Dade's choice.  Hard to tell what is it until...

lit up.  A little scarier then Mom would have picked, but I guess that's what happens.

Pretty fun.

Az's Halloween Party.

Pretty Scary!!!

Halloween Dinner.  Mummy pizzas, breadstick bones, celery broomsticks, hot dog ghosts and ghoul punch.

Off to Trick or Treat.

I love these cuties.
Can't wait for next year.

TRUNK OR TREAT HERE WE COME

Batman and Friends.

Even Dain joined in the fun this year.

Batman.

Robin.

Cat Women (Girl).

The Penguin.
I love Halloween.  Is there anything more fun than dressing up and bringing smiles to everyone?  NOPE.

LET'S GO OUT TO THE BALL GAME

I'm not sure who likes Baseball better...Dad or Dade.  We were so blessed to have Dain be an assistant coach for Dade's Baseball team again this past fall.

It was so fun to see Dade's improvement from Spring season.  He could hit further,

field better and

run faster.

I love it when he gets to be catcher.

I think the boys look so cute in all the pads.

Here are a few more of the little slugger...

Notice his sleeve.  He is always pulling up his sleeves.  So cute.

We can't wait for the Spring season to start up again in a few weeks.  He really loves this game.

7 GOING ON 8

This year Dade asked for a bowling party.  He invited a few friends and they had a great time...even the parents had a great time watching.

Dade was so excited to have his friends there.

And everything is more fun with cousins...

and sister.

These kids had a great time.

Dain helped me this year with the party favors.  I think they turned out great.

On to pizza and cake.

Happy Birthday Dade.  You make everyday more bright and cheery. I thank my Heavenly Father everyday for the blessing you are in my life and this family.
(I'm still smiling).

DALLAS ARBORETUM AND COOKIES 2012

Our annual trip to the Dallas Arboretum for the pumpkins did not disappoint.  We were able to go with Aunt Erin, Roman, Eva and Oma.  It's always more fun with family.

I have learned that in order to get any pictures worth saving, we have to take them as soon as we get there.  Luckily this year as a big success.  She was a perfect angel.

He was a perfect...he was just perfect.

Then on to face painting.  One fairy princess.

She stayed in front of the mirror for a long time just looking at every detail.

One panda bear.

One tiger.
Don't they all look wonderful?  The face painting here is amazing.  It's half the reason we go.

People kept staring at Gray.  I even had several people ask me which animal he was, since it wasn't exactly the same as the example on the face painting sheet.

He definitely took on a new persona after getting it painted on.  Watch out!

Friends Forever.

Just one more of the cuteness.

That night (because Dade was sad he wasn't able to go to the Arboretum with us) we decorated Halloween Sugar Cookies.

The kids are getting pretty good at this.

SHOE...SHOE

One of the perks from Dain's job...getting to go to and even sometimes meeting professional sports players.
This past October Dain took Dade and my Dad to the Maverick's scrimmage game.
Dade came home with this...

Guessed yet?
Dirk Nowitzki's basketball shoe, worn during the game and signed by him.
Dain said that at the conclusion of the game the players came to the sidelines and signed autographs and even took off their jersey's.  Dirk come over the Dade, took off his shoe and signed it for Dade.  It now sits in a case on top of his dresser.
He had a blast.
