THANKSGIVING IN THE FOOTHILLS

We spent this Thanksgiving with my parents in California.  The kids and I flew out a week and a half early and spent time with my sister and her family.
The picture above is of AZ's first trip to the dentist.  Thank you Uncle Wendell.

Dain flew out the weekend before Thanksgiving and spent a week and a half with us.

The real fun always starts when Dain gets there.

Every kids has to have a bed head picture.

Grayer has decided he has had enough of boring "baby food" and will whine and cry if he thinks you are holding out on him.
Here he is with a bag of chips...you would think looking at the picture that he had already finished the bag, but believe me he had only had a few...at this point.
We are picnicking at the river with Alma, Polly Coen and Beckett.

Dade was is heaven.  He asked, no begged everyday to go out and ride the "4 wheeler".  He proved to be a pro at it.

Aislyn and Grayer preferred the speed of the "3 wheeler".

We spent an afternoon at Aunt Polly's decorating Hand Turkey Cookies.  I took several pictures of the kids, but the best one turned out to be this one.

He looks like the cutest turkey I've ever seen.

My niece Annie made these cuties for everyone.

The kids and I went hunting for the perfect pine cones to turn into turkeys.  This is Dade's creation.

Aislyn went for a less is more turkey.

A rare occasion...all three sitting still.

More home school crafts.  Dade's Christmas Tree.

Aislyn's Star.

Grayer Bear with Grandpa on the tractor.

I'm telling you...this kid loved this thing.

TRUNK OR TREAT

Everyone loves a good Trunk or Treat...especially when it is attended by Snow White, Grumpy and the Wicked Queen Step Mother.
Yes, I actually liked dressing up and scaring all the little kids.

Dade opted out of the Fairy Tale Dress Up and went for the ever popular Ninja.

This picture is mostly for my sister Susan, who helped me pull this outfit together...turned out pretty cute, huh?

She felt like a princess all night.

All he wanted to do all night was get into everyone's candy bags.

We always end the night with smiles all around.

SPACE COOKIES

I think most everyone knows that we decided to home-school Dade this year in order to prevent him from having to go to 3 different schools for Kindergarten.
This adventure has proven to be incredibly rewarding.
This is one of our craft/treat projects from our unit on space.
(Earth)

This one is AZ's star.

AZ loves to be a part of all the learning and it is so fun to hear her repeating some of the information Dade is learning.

I think everyone seems pretty happy...what do you think?

FLOWER MOUND PUMPKIN PATCH

For the past 4 years we have looked forward to the local Pumpkin Patch with much anticipation.

This year we went with cousins...which of course makes the experience that much better.
Please note Grayer's fabulous face.

He is always so content to just be with us.

The three older kids ran around in the hay maze.

These two spent a great deal of their time in the bounce houses...together always.

I think it was Kajsa Jane that took this cutie.

Hay Ride!!!

There is always a little part of me that is sad to see the Fall slip away into Winter.
Good thing Thanksgiving and Christmas come right around the next corner.

TAKE A LOOK

The following are a collection of pictures from the last few months. In July Cousin Miller turned 3 and each of the party goers were given these as favors (so cute Jordan!). My caped crusaders love theirs.

Fast as lighting!

Able to leap tall ....couches.

AZ's first day of our co-op preschool. We started this group last year and have loved being a part of it. She has to miss out a lot right now, but when we get into the new house she will be happy as a clam.

I can't contain all the silliness around here.

My Boys!

Ok, now if you look back through the old blog entries you'll find more than one entry like this pictured above.

Every time it rains I know what will be asked...Can we put on our rain coats and boots?
Yes, little ones...yes you can.

Halloween, my favorite holiday. There are more sprinkles than cupcake.

The smiles make it all worth it.

Dade's creations...

AZ's....

and Grayer taste tested them. I think he liked them.
