QUEBEC CITY

Dain and I had to postpone our 10 Year Anniversary Celebration due to the impending birth of Clove.  Our actual anniversary was spent at Fuzzy's Taco's.
So, we decided to celebrate when I felt like I could leave baby girl.  So, the last week of September we flew to Quebec.

The town was so quaint and beautiful.

We had one day of wonderful weather.

Short sleeves and all.

I love seeing new places.

I love seeing new places with this guy.

We decided to each take a camera and see who takes the best pictures.  He says he won.

I say I won.

Eglise Notre Dame des Victoires

Place Royale
Cute square in the middle of the city.

There were bears everywhere, which of course made us miss our bear.

The color had just started changing.

Luckily we didn't come a few weeks later and have to deal with this.

This is actually a tree with gorgeous yellow flowers.  We have another picture of the tree later on.

Quebec is separated into two "towns" connected by the hill.  A funicular was built to make the climb easier.

Lots of pictures like this.

This wall is built all around the city.

Look at the rocks in the wall.  We loved that they left them exposed for all to see.

Hot Chocolate Deliciousness.

Huge.

Basilique Catherdrale Notre Dame de Quebec

The Chateau Frontenac.

This Canadian Restaurant (Aux Anciens Canadiens) is where we ate our Birthday Dinner.

Terrasse Dufferin

The start of La Promenade des Gouverneurs.

The end of La Promenade des Gouverneurs.

Parliament Building

We read a review about the restaurant inside the Parliament Building and decided to try it for lunch. It was my favorite meal.  We were a little under dressed and we weren't prepared to have to show our passports, walk through a metal detector and have a security search.  It was an adventure.

These reminded me of the playground toys by NCE.

Le Bellig

We loved this place so much we eat there twice...even tried for a third.

Most nights were spent playing Bananagram.  Score 11-2...me.

Montmorency Falls

This is the way up to the falls.

Here's that tree again.

This is the way down from the falls.

Here is a prime example...
My picture

Dain's picture.
Who do you think wins?

Aislyn, this is for you.

Next we drove around the Ile d'Orleans.

Ummm.  I can't even think of the words to describe the yumminess.
 Milk Chocolate dipped Ice Cream.

Maple dipped Ice Cream.

Canyon Sainte-Anne

This waterfall was especially fun because of the bridges you cross to view it.

This suspension bridge was hilarious.  We watched a lady take about 10 minutes to cross it.

Bear-this ones for you!

Joe's Smoked Meat...we love you!

Ok, this was the second trip to Le Bellig.  We fell in love with this crepe made with Salted Caramel Sauce, apples, ice cream and whip cream.  We ate two each time.

Night life.

Maple Taffy.  Rolled right in front of us.

Super sweet.

Super sticky.

Picture from the airplane.
Thanks Mom and Dad for suggesting Quebec.
It was wonderful.
