Easter has become a favorite holiday thanks to Mom's Enrichment FHE Group. Everyday the week leading up to Easter we had a FHE lesson and the activities were pretty fun. This picture is from our Last Supper Night. We dressed up in Biblical Costumes (of sorts).
We ate sitting on the floor.
Dade kept calling Aislyn "Mary" all night.
I think my little shepard looked great.
Mom made as traditional food as I thought the kids would still eat...and yes that is homemade flat bread. The best part was the honeycomb for dessert. Dade loved it.
On Saturday we had an Easter Egg Hunt in the back yard. AZ was all over it this year. She found more eggs than Dade.
Momma's vain attempt at getting a shot of the two of them.
I think I love this picture because of Dade's outfit. Those boots actually give him blisters, but he loves them so much he wears them anyway.
The night before Easter we made these "Easter Cookies". The kids helped make them by beating the pecans and mixing and tasting the ingredients. Then we put them in the oven overnight and "sealed the oven" by taping it. When the kids got up in the morning the tape was gone and these great "hollow" cookies (like Jesus's tomb) were waiting for them. Nothing like a cookie first thing in the morning.
